Effortless, Flexible Weighing
One of the standout strengths of this scale is how adaptable it is to different cooking and baking needs. It supports five different measurement units — ounces, pounds and ounces, fluid ounces, grams, and milliliters — so you’re never stuck converting measurements in your head or searching for a conversion chart mid-recipe. Whether a recipe calls for grams of flour or ounces of liquid, this scale switches over with a simple button press.
The built-in tare function is another feature that makes daily use genuinely convenient. It allows you to place a bowl or container on the scale, zero it out, and then add ingredients directly without having to calculate the container’s weight separately. This is especially useful when weighing multiple ingredients into the same bowl one after another, streamlining the entire cooking or baking process.
Setup is just as simple as the day-to-day use. The scale comes with two AAA batteries included, so it’s ready to use right out of the box without any extra trips to buy batteries first.
Precision You Can Rely On
For anyone who values accuracy — especially bakers, where small measurement errors can affect a recipe’s outcome — this scale delivers real precision. It weighs up to 11 lb (5 kg) with 1-gram increments, giving you fine-tuned accuracy across a wide range of ingredient sizes, from a small pinch of yeast to a large batch of flour.
This level of precision makes it a reliable tool not just for cooking and baking, but also for portion control, meal prepping, and any task where exact measurements genuinely matter.

Compact Design That Fits Any Kitchen
Kitchen space is often limited, and bulky gadgets tend to end up shoved in the back of a cabinet, rarely used. The Etekcity scale avoids that problem entirely thanks to its small, sleek footprint. It sits neatly on a countertop without taking up much room, and it slides easily into a cabinet or drawer for storage when not in use.
This compact design makes it just as practical for small apartment kitchens as it is for larger, more fully equipped ones.
Easy to Keep Clean
Kitchen tools need to be simple to maintain, and this scale makes that easy with its 304 food-grade stainless steel surface. A quick wipe-down is all it takes to keep the scale looking clean and hygienic, with no complicated disassembly or special cleaning products required. This makes it convenient to use multiple times a day without cleaning becoming a chore.
Clear, Easy-to-Read Display
The backlit LCD display is a small feature that makes a real difference in daily use. Large, easy-to-read fonts mean you can check your measurements at a glance, even in a dimly lit kitchen, without squinting or needing to move the scale closer to a light source. It’s a thoughtful touch that keeps the overall experience simple and frustration-free.
Final Verdict
The Etekcity Digital Kitchen Scale combines everything a good kitchen scale should have: flexible unit conversion, a genuinely useful tare function, precise 1-gram accuracy up to 11 lb, a compact and storage-friendly design, easy-clean stainless steel construction, and a clear backlit display. It’s a scale that fits naturally into everyday cooking and baking routines, delivering consistent, accurate results without unnecessary complexity.
